systematically improve code and structures
Last week, I had the chance to attend a three day training on how to systematically improve software systems. It is called “IMPROVE” and is given by Dr. Peter Hruschka and Dr. Gernot Starke. The german description can be found here: http://www.arc42.de/improve.html
The training is based on the aim42 initiative and enriched by the broad knowledge and experience of the two speakers. What I liked most where the two parts on how to do estimates the right way and how to convince the management to let you work on technical debt.
Today I already started to implement what I learned and created a technical debt list for docToolchain and tomorrow I will start to put estimates on each issue…
